Do NOT store your Inventory record in your Home or Office more

Securely saving your inventory record(s) on the internet.

  • A good place...to store your digital record securely on the internet and out of harms way is by taking advantage of free e-mail accounts that have generous sized (capacity) mail boxes...Google's G-Mail offers one gigabyte of data storage with their free service and Yahoo offers 250 megabytes of free storage with their free e-mail accounts... Take advantage of these services by creating a folder (other than "in box") and simply mail yourself a copy of your digital record and place it in the folder for safe keeping.
  • Chances are, if you have internet service...you also have some free server space usually allotted for a users home page. This space can be an ideal place to store a digital record, to learn more about using this free space that you maybe didn't even know you had!

Do NOT store your Inventory record in your Home or Office OR any other Home or Office located within the same region.
We strongly advise creating an encrypted archived file that includes all text and image documents. Be sure to use a password you won't forget...This is just an added measure to protect your information. There is no need to directly associate this archive with any particular street address...Use your own discretion when creating e-mail accounts.
